| Every year the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival brings the town to life with a spectacular parade of illuminated floats, live bands, street entertainment and the deafening practice of "squibbing" - the simultaneous firing of lots of large fireworks (squibs) on Bridgwater High Street
